Why One Foot? well way back in 2005 I found myself recovering from a serious knee injury, serious enough to end my days in the hills, I could only use one foot so One Foot it is, simple really.

Whilst watching T. V. I heard guidebook writer and photographer Bob Allen describe people as being like sheep, following the same paths, I checked my walking logs, in my case he was right.

There is more than one side to every mountain and more than one way up most hills, One Foot was born, a diary of my walks in the English Lake District and the Limestone Dales, on every walk I would try to pick a different route, not always possible but I would try.
