In a quiet corner (not so quiet in summer) of St Oswalds Churchyard under a ancient yew tree, planted by William Wordsworth lies the Wordsworth Family Graves.

William, his wife Mary, nearby are buried his sister Dorothy, his children Dora, William, Thomas and Catherine, Mary's sister Sara Hutchinson and other member's of the family. There is also the grave of Hartley Coleridge eldest son of Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
