After spending several minutes talking to a fellow photographer on Orrest Head he persuaded me to pay Queen Adelaide's Hill a visit, I'd never heard of it, but fuelled with stories of fantastic views across Windermere Lake I drove to Millerground car park to see for myself.

A wooden gate allows access to this small hill owned by the National Trust, I entered, to start the easy climb to the summit, in less than five minutes I was enjoying the said views, not as good as Orrest Head but different, and I had the advantage of being able to descend to the lake shore to follow the path through Millerground before ascending up a delightful gill back to the car park.
