It's been a good weekend Saturday saw us navigating through the spoil heaps and mine shafts on Grassington Moor, after an early start on Sunday I found myself alone on the summit of Great Gable, and today with a few hours in hand I decided to head to Arnside, Wainwright would have called this a rest and recuperation walk, it's a classic that every walker should do sometime.
On good paths I made my way down the edge of the Kent Channel to round Blackstone Point on route to Far Arnside, through the caravan site to start the easy ascent on well walked paths to the summit of Arnside Knott, my descent route took me through Red Hill entering Dubshall Wood before making my way back to the shore.
