The Cathedral Quarry, Honed out of the Little Langdale Fell side in the search for green slate, the roof towers over 40ft high supported by one slate column, the main chamber is lit by two windows off the main quarry. Come at weekends and the quarry is alive with rock climbers, but today it was eerie, I had only the dripping of water for company, it was cold and unwelcoming, I felt I was trespassing and was not welcome there, needless to say I didn't stay long. Most of the photos I took are covered in white shadows, strange shapes reflecting across the lens, spooky! most of the pictures below were taken on an earlier visit.
